About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operational Safety & Compliance Projects Coordinator to oversee and manage critical operational safety, maintenance, and compliance-related project works across our network. This hands-on role will focus on ensuring that business-as-usual (BAU) compliance and safety requirements are met, while supporting parks with the timely execution of scheduled tasks and rectification works.
This role is essential to ensuring the safety, functionality, and compliance of our facilities, and will involve close collaboration with parks, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor the tree assessment and works schedule, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with relevant policies and procedures.
- Liaise with parks teams and tree works contractors to ensure scope, quality, and budget requirements are met.
- Upload tree works into Systematic, track completion, and follow up with parks as required.
- Partner with JAE to ensure scheduled electrical and fire testing/tagging is on track and address initial service concerns.
- Monitor compliance with Annual Fire Safety Statements (NSW/QLD), and coordinate remediation of non-compliance issues.
- Log electrical faults and other issues in Systematic and track timely resolution.
- Support parks in developing and maintaining maintenance task schedules in Systematic.
- Ensure routine servicing of vehicles, forklifts, and other plant/equipment is completed.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments in conjunction with park teams as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong understanding of WHS, facilities compliance, and maintenance practices.
- Experience in coordinating operational projects, ideally in a multi-site environment.
- Competency with facilities or asset management software (e.g., Systematic, TreePlotter).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a strong ability to follow up and drive tasks to completion.
- Comfortable working autonomously and across departments.
Desirable
- Previous experience with contractor management and/or compliance reporting.
- Exposure to fire safety, electrical compliance, or plant/equipment maintenance schedules.
- Familiarity with NSW and QLD regulatory requirements relating to building and operational safety.
