About the role

As the Electrical Maintenance Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for organising and improving electrical maintenance tasks. You’ll work closely with operations, maintenance staff, and contractors to reduce downtime and keep the plant running efficiently. This position allows you to have a real impact within a high-performance team that values safety, technical skill, and ongoing improvement in everything we do.

This role will be offered on a Max Term Full Time Contract and will see you work a 9 Day Fortnight. Whilst Rockhampton and Townsville are our primary FIFO hubs we encourage and will consider applicants from all regional Queensland communities.

Duties will include but not be limited to:-

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate electrical maintenance activities across the CHPP to ensure plant reliability and availability.
  • Develop weekly and shutdown maintenance plans in collaboration with operations and mechanical teams.
  • Prioritise work orders based on safety, production impact, and asset criticality.
  • Coordinate labour, tools, parts, and contractors to ensure efficient execution of work.
  • Oversee maintenance of CHPP electrical systems including, LV Power Distribution, MCCs, VSDs, PLC/SCADA Systems, Instrumentation and Control Systems.
  • Ensure all electrical maintenance and installation works are completed in accordance with approved electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with statutory inspections and testing requirements.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with, QLD Mining Safety & Legislation, Australian Standards and Site Safety Procedures.
  • Manage electrical contractors and specialist service providers.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and technical documentation.

To be successful in this role, you will have:-

  • Electrical Trade or Engineering Qualification
  • Electrical Engineering Manager Certification – Highly Desirable
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a Processing Plant Environment.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate information across all levels.
  • Strong planning and scheduling skills with the ability priorities competing demands.
  • High attention to detail in documentation, compliance and reporting
  • Current Australian Drivers License – Essential
  • Right to Work in Australia – Essential
  • Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 - Highly regarded
  • Demonstrated safety focus with the ability to work safely and effectively as part of a dynamic team
