About the role
We are seeking experienced Process Operators to join the operations team at the Mount Carlton Gold Operation as the site transitions through refurbishment, ramp-up and into steady-state operations.
This is a hands-on role for operators who take pride in running plant safely, maintaining stable process conditions and working as part of a tight, site-based team. You will be actively involved in day-to-day plant operation, monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement across the processing circuit.
This role will be offered on a Max Term Full Time Contract and will see you work a 8/6 Roster. This role will be DIDO/BIBO from the Townsville Region. Accommodation and Meals are supplied whilst on site.
Duties will include but not be limited to:-
- Operate and monitor the processing plant in line with site procedures, metallurgical requirements and production targets.
- Operate Mobile plant as necessary to ensure plant Operational requirements are maintained
- Conduct routine inspections, checks and housekeeping across the plant and associated infrastructure.
- Identify, troubleshoot and respond to process upsets, alarms and abnormal operating conditions.
- Complete isolations, permit requirements and pre-start checks in accordance with site safety systems.
- Work closely with Maintenance and Metallurgy teams to support plant reliability and performance.
- Accurately record operational data, logs and handover information.
- Contribute to plant start-ups, shutdowns and commissioning activities.
- Actively participate in safety initiatives, risk assessments and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and operational discipline at all times.
To be successful in this role, you will have:-
- Relevant plant operation tickets and licenses (desirable).
- Loader
- EWP
- Forklift
- Integrated Tool carrier
- Previous experience in gold processing or CIL/CIP circuits (highly regarded).
- Demonstrated experience operating within a mineral processing plant or similar industrial environment.
- Solid understanding of process plant equipment such as crushers, mills, conveyors, pumps, screens and associated systems.
- Ability to recognise process trends, identify issues and respond appropriately.
- Strong safety mindset with a commitment to following procedures and site standards.
- Current Australian Drivers License – Essential
- Right to Work in Australia – Essential
