About the Role

We are seeking expressions of interest for Mechanical Commissioning Engineers to join our site-based team on a FIFO 2/1 roster commencing February 2026. The roles are offered on a 4–6-month contract basis.

Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager you will support the delivery and start-up of a gold processing plant. The role is integral to the safe, efficient commissioning of mechanical systems through to handover to operations.

Key duties

  • Lead and execute mechanical commissioning activities across gold processing plant equipment
  • Develop and implement commissioning procedures, check sheets, and test packs
  • Coordinate pre-commissioning, cold and hot commissioning activities
  • Work closely with construction, E&I, process, and operations teams
  • Verify installation completeness and mechanical integrity
  • Identify and manage punch lists, defects, and commissioning issues
  • Ensure commissioning is conducted in line with HSE standards and site procedures
  • Support performance testing and ramp-up to steady-state operation
  • Provide commissioning documentation and handover packages

You will have

  • Tertiary qualified - Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience commissioning gold or mineral processing plants
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and rotating equipment
  • Experience working on EPC/EPCM or brownfield projects
  • High commitment to safety and quality outcomes
