About the Role

Senior Designer - Process (P&ID)

Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager you will be responsible for translating engineering concepts and specifications into detailed P&ID's (piping and instrumentation diagrams), ensuring accuracy, compliance with industry standards and alignment with project requirements.

The role is offered on a 3-month casual basis with a view to ongoing.

Key duties

• Create and revise P&ID’s using CAD and Bentley Microstation software based on engineering input and process requirements
• Accurately annotate P&ID’s with equipment tags, instrumentation details, valve types, pipe specifications and other relevant information
• Work closely with engineers and designers, and other stakeholders to integrate process requirements into comprehensive P&ID’s that reflect the overall project
• Conduct thorough reviews and checks of P&ID’s to identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, or discrepancies maintaining high quality deliverables
• If required participate in design review meetings and provide technical support to resolve related issues

 You will have

• Cert III Engineering - Desirable
• 5+ years' experience working in an engineering environment
• Good understanding of piping systems, instrumentation and associated equipment
• Familiar with relevant industry standards, codes and regulations
• Software competency - Bentley Aecosim V8i Select Series 10, Bentley Microstation, Bentley Open Buildings – Connect Edition, Navisworks Manage/Simulate, Excel - Advantageous
