About the role

Accounts Payable Officer - Reporting to the Senior Accountant you will complete and coordinate the end-to-end accounts payable functions, including the processing of vendor invoices, the reconciliation of financial transactions, creditors ledger maintenance, handling of vendor queries and the monitoring and follow up of creditors. 

The role is offered on a permanent full-time basis at our Perth CBD office.

Brief Duties

• Daily processing of supplier invoices in accordance with DRA’s policies and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Responsible for the reconciliation of vendor statements and ensuring that all aged items are addressed and resolved
• Resolving discrepancies and reviewing and processing credit notes
• Process employee expenses and ensure adherence to company policies
• Timely management of the accounts email inbox and escalation to the Finance Manager where appropriate
• Processing vendor and other payments within a timely manner
• Training and support of operational staff in basic control processes and expectations to ensure maximisation of project outcomes
• Maintenance of cash flow information systems on a weekly basis and as required

About you

• 3+ years' experience in a similar role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and coding
• Knowledge of accounting principles, reporting and accounts payable best practices
• Proficiency in accounting software
