About the role
DRA Operations are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor – Electrical to join our core team on site in Central Queensland. This positions will be offered on a 7:7 Roster working Dayshift Only.
You will be provided with flights to site from Townsville or Rockhampton with camp accommodation whilst on site.
Whilst Rockhampton and Townsville are our primary FIFO hubs we encourage applicants from all regional Queensland communities to apply.
As the Maintenance Supervisor – Electrical , you will lead small team of trades people to carry out work activities within the CHPP safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Working closely with the broader CHPP team, playing a crucial role in maintaining equipment reliability and availability by ensuring that work is executed as planned and that emergent work is prioritised to maintain operational capabilities, in an efficient and effective manner.
Key Duties include but not limited to;
- Oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of fixed plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, screens, centrifuges, thickeners, pumps, and wash plant components.
- Lead and supervise a team of mechanical and electrical tradespeople, contractors, and support staff.
- Lead fault-finding and diagnostic efforts on mechanical and electrical issues affecting CHPP plant performance.
- Allocate daily tasks, set priorities, and ensure safe, efficient execution of maintenance activities.
- Conduct risk assessments, permit approvals, and ensure JHAs and SWMS are in use and effective.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, permits, inspections, and downtime events.
About you
Our ideal candidate is a positive and safety-conscious team player with a strong work ethic who posses the following;
- Electrical Trade or Engineering background
- Previous experience in CHPP or Processing Plant Operations (or similar)
- Computer software skills including Microsoft Suite (project, excel, word, power point etc)
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate various projects
- Strong safety focus with a demonstrated ability to promote and encourage safety
- Strong communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, clients and suppliers
- Proven experience in managing a team, providing guidance, and delegating tasks effectively to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Strong focus on safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Current Coal Board Medical & Standard 11
- Current S123 and G2
- Valid Australian Drivers License
- Valid Right to Work in Australia
