About the role
We are seeking Principal Process Engineers to join our Perth based team. The roles are offered on a permanent full-time basis.
You will have a strong background in process plant design, as well as demonstrated success in the delivery of studies and projects.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, you will be working in a highly experienced team and will be exposed to a continuous succession of small to large projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and commissioning to operations.
Brief duties
- Lead the process engineering deliverables for preliminary and detailed design studies and projects
- Support the engineering team in delivery of projects and studies
- Support the professional development of the process engineering team
- Provide input and support for business development processes
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships
- Technical ownership of discipline deliverables for the scope, including ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, codes, specifications and industry standards and designs
About you
- Tertiary Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Extractive Metallurgy or similar
- 15 + years’ experience in mineral processing and/or hydrometallurgy plant design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Competency in creating mass and energy balances using Metsim®, SysCAD or similar
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
Preference will be given to candidates with
- Broad experience with precious/base metals mineral processing and/or hydrometallurgy processes
- Critical Minerals experience including Lithium, nickel, copper, rare earths, vanadium
- Have the requisite experience and professional affiliation to be a Competent Person in accordance with JORC 2012 and / or Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of working collaboratively in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams
