About the Role:
As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will develop and execute procurement strategies that support project delivery goals. Working closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and contractors, you will ensure procurement activities are carried out efficiently, commercially, and in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for materials, equipment, and services.
- Identify, assess, and qualify suppliers and contractors based on quality, capability, cost, and project requirements.
- Lead contract negotiations to secure favourable commercial terms and delivery outcomes.
- Manage contract lifecycle activities, including administration, compliance, and renewals.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process from requisition through to delivery.
- Collaborate with project teams to forecast procurement requirements and support project schedules.
- Monitor procurement expenditure and performance against budget targets.
- Manage supplier performance, quality assurance issues, and contractual obligations.
- Build and maintain strong supplier and contractor relationships.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier documentation, and contract registers.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
About You
You are a proactive and commercially minded procurement professional with strong experience managing end-to-end procurement activities in project environments. You thrive in a fast-paced settings, take initiative to solve challenges before they arise, and build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers alike.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a procurement role, preferably within project-based engineering, mining, construction, or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, sourcing methodologies, and contract negotiation.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and contract performance.
- Proficiency with procurement and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmen.
