About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Structural Designer to join our established team based in Brisbane.

Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you will contribute to the delivery of structural design packages across a diverse portfolio of mining and minerals processing projects. You will play a key role in producing detailed drawings and models while working closely with engineers, project managers and stakeholders.

Key Duties

  • Prepare detailed structural drawings and 3D models using approved CAD platforms.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards and project specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to project teams.
  • Conduct quality checks on design deliverables prior to issue.
  • Coordinate with engineers, designers and stakeholders to develop practical solutions.
  • Maintain accurate drawing registers, revisions and project documentation.
  • Monitor assigned work to ensure delivery against project schedules and client expectations.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of personal safety and safe design practices.

You Will Have

  • Certificate III in Engineering desirable.
  • Approximately 3+ years' experience within an engineering detailed design environment.
  • Experience in resources, mining, infrastructure or industrial projects highly regarded.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, MicroStation, OpenBuildings and related design platforms.
  • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
