Lead Structural Engineer - Reporting to the Structural Engineering Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of structural engineers on the analysis, design and optimisation of structural systems across various projects. We will also consider a Strong Senior.

The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis at our Perth CBD office.

Key duties

  • Lead a team of structural engineers, providing guidance, mentoring and technical support
  • Lead the detailed design process, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide mentoring to junior team members
  • Provide input for continuous improvement initiatives such as in house design standards and procedures
  • Perform structural analysis using advanced software tools to optimise designs for safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness
  • Provide expert advice on structural engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Develop calculation reports and participate in technical reviews and peer evaluations to ensure design integrity and quality assurance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and manage resources effectively to ensure project deadlines and objectives are met
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, presenting technical information

You will have

  • Tertiary Degree – Structural / Civil Engineering or related field - Essential 
  • Professional membership/s - Advantageous
  • 8+ years' experience working in an engineering detailed design environment
  • 3+ years' experience working in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Experience in Saudi Building Code requirements - Advantageous
  • In-depth understanding of structural engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials and structural stability
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as Spacegass or Strand7
  • Well-developed communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent attitude, team focus and commitment towards safety
