About the role

We are seeking expressions of interest for a HSE Manager to provide leadership, guidance and technical expertise across all health, safety, and environmental aspects of an EPCM mining project. Working as part of a client team, the role ensures consistent implementation of HSE standards across engineering, procurement and construction activities.

Reporting to the Senior Manager HSEQ, you represent DRA within the client's organisation and play a key role in maintaining strong relationships, promoting a proactive safety culture, whilst driving continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Brief duties

  • Lead HSE governance, compliance, and performance across the project
  • Align consultancy HSE systems with client standards, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and project requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations (ICAM)
  • Support design, procurement, and construction teams in integrating HSE-in-design principles
  • Build strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders
  • Mentor and coach team members and promote positive HSE behaviours
  • Monitor and report on leading/lagging HSE indicators and implement improvement actions

About you

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 10+ years' HSE experience in mining, resources, or heavy industry projects
  • Proven background in EPCM or integrated owner’s team environment
  • Solid understanding of WA HSE legislation, risk management, and ISO standards
  • ICAM investigation and internal audit certification desirable
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
