Your Role
As a senior leader in the Join & Grow squad, you will set the design vision and lead the design, of intuitive, intelligent, and inclusive digital experiences across our mobile app and web platforms. You will operate with autonomy, influence product direction, and drive high-impact outcomes—mentoring others and elevating design maturity across the organisation.
Working in this cross-functional experience squad, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing seamless, engaging, and data-informed join, onboarding, and engagement experiences that drive member engagement, partner value and commercial outcomes across Flybuys’ experiences.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead discovery and design for onboarding and engagement journeys, using research, workshops, and co-design to uncover opportunities and deliver experiences that delight members and drive sustained app usage.
- Take ownership of design outcomes for the squad’s platforms and journeys. Shape and drive product strategy and roadmap in partnership with Product and Engineering leads. Influence squad direction through design leadership, championing member-first outcomes and business impact.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and Go-To-Market teams to prioritise and execute high-impact features for mobile and web platforms, ensuring consistency and excellence across all digital touchpoints.
- Create engaging wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UX/UI designs that are desirable for members, feasible for engineering and deliver on key business metrics, Designs are highly personalised experiences that accelerate member value and bonus point earning, informed by data and member insights.
- Ground decisions in behavioural data, customer insights, and a “test and learn” mindset. Rapidly prototype and iterate enhancements that respond to member feedback, market trends and business goals.
- Expert in building, scaling, and governing design systems across multiple platforms. Recognised as a thought leader in design best practices, accessibility, and innovation—mentoring others and elevating design maturity within the squad and organisation
- Use real-time data and usability testing to validate design decisions and continuously improve the member experience, especially in critical onboarding and engagement flows.
- Work closely with squad members and stakeholders to align on priorities, remove blockers, and deliver value quickly—navigating ambiguity with confidence.
- Influence and inspire design excellence across squads and disciplines. Represent the Join & Grow squad in cross-functional forums, sharing insights, driving alignment, and advocating for the member experience at all levels
Your Experience
- Extensive experience leading end-to-end product design for complex, high-impact digital platforms (mobile and web), ideally in large-scale, member-focused environments.
- Demonstrated ability to set design vision and strategy, not just execute on existing plans.
- Portfolio demonstrating leadership in designing and shipping successful digital products at scale.
- Experience mentoring and developing other designers.
- A member-centric mindset, creating experiences that drive activation, retention, and emotional connection.
- Proven ability to lead and facilitate complex workshops and co-design sessions with senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience to drive experimentation and innovation, setting the standard for rapid prototyping and data-driven iteration
- Data-informed decision making, using behavioural data, customer insights, and usability testing to validate design decisions.
- Design system leadership for mobile and web platforms.
- Problem solving and decision making, navigating ambiguity and removing blockers to maintain momentum
- Experience integrating GenAI within the design process or into consumer-facing products.
- Advocacy for design excellence and member-first thinking.
