Your Role

There is no typical working week at Flybuys. But here are some of the things you will be working on, day-to-day;

• Develop and implement a test plan along with test strategy aligned with the organisation testing practices and objectives. 
• Execute test cases and provide test summary reports 
• Collaborate with Developers, PSEs, Delivery Manager and prioritise automation effort wherever applicable. 
• Incorporate security mindset into automation process to identify and fix vulnerabilities to ensure application’s security. 
• Create and maintain comprehensive artefacts related to quality and automation. 
• Create, enhance and maintain automation test scripts using organisation wide accepted tools and frameworks. 
• Ensure test scripts are reusable, modular and maintainable. 
• Be able to support and mentor team on certation and usage of test scripts 
• Design and execute performance tests to evaluate system performance and scalability. 
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing as part of software development process. 
• Collaborate with DevOps team to ensure seamless integration. 
• Develop and manage test data sets required for Web/API or Load testing. 
• Ensure test data is relevant, complaints with security and data privacy policies. 
• Analyse to identify trends and improvement opportunities in all areas of delivery. 
• API Integration, Ensuring API endpoints return correct responses and validate requests. Checking how API handles incorrect and invalid inputs. 
• Verify consistent and stable performance under different conditions, measure the speed and responsiveness of API calls 

Your Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology and/or Business. 
• Demonstrated experience in an Agile based, fast paced, complex environment within long running cross-functional teams. 
• Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript/typescript test framework such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest etc. 
• Significant experience in Web and API testing. 
• Hands on experience of performance testing and modern tools is recommended such as K6. 
• Extensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) along with Software Testing and methodologies, concepts, and practice. 
• Significant experience analysing/reviewing all documents related to requirements and technical solution to create test plans including all aspects of testing (eg: functional, system integration, stress, and performance). 
• Be able to create test cases from scratch along with objectively review and provide feedback on test cases developed by others in team. 
• Demonstrated experience to manage timelines in line with project schedules, to self-manage and to work autonomously. 
• Strong problem-solving abilities and leadership quality to drive quality discussions and appropriate change within their team as well as external stakeholders. 
• Technical expertise in Quality Engineering (Manual Testing, Automation Testing, Defect Management, Knowledge of CI/CD practices to streamline testing process) 
• Communication and Reporting 
• Test and validate APIs req/response and automate where it makes sense 
• Performance test APIs
