Your Role
There is no typical working week at Flybuys. But here are some of the things you will be working on, day-to-day;
- Supporting on Flybuys strategic initiatives and projects, including research and opportunity assessment, development of business cases, strategic plans, board papers and consultation / executive briefings.
- Gathering data, developing insights and preparing materials to support the implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Supporting Flybuys’ corporate planning activity at the enterprise level to help shape Flybuys’ strategic direction and grow the business aligned with our vision.
- Working closely with key business stakeholders, including customer, commercial, technology, finance, product and data teams, to ensure strategic initiatives and roadmaps are aligned with Flybuys’ strategy.
- Preparing clear and compelling executive-level presentations and papers.
- Monitoring and reporting on industry trends, competitor activities and market developments to provide insights and implications to Flybuys and to inform decision making.
- Utilising financial and strategic frameworks to synthesise large data sets, conduct detailed analyses and develop strategic insights to inform decision making
Your Experience
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in a management consulting firm or in-house strategy team. Retail/ Consumer/ Technology experience desired, but not essential
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Engineering (or related field).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with an ability to structure analysis utilising financial and strategic frameworks
- Proficient in financial analysis and modelling.
- Experience in successfully leading and delivering smaller projects and/or workstreams relating to specific business or operational issues
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to clearly convey complex problems and findings for a variety of audiences
- The ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team, including understanding broader team objectives.
- Experience with SQL programming language advantageous, but not essential.
- High attention to detail, including in logic, analysis, formatting and writing.
- Intellectually curious, with a willingness to continuously learn and adapt in an evolving environment.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to work independently and take initiative, while also proactively seeking guidance and feedback when needed.
