Job Description
Our client, a leading beverage company, is currently seeking an accomplished Lead Controls Technician to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:
1) Minimize equipment downtime through effective troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment in a complex distributed control system
2) Improve bottling line efficiency through changes to automated controls
3) Utilize technical skills in troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing packaging machinery that demonstrates literacy and required sophistication to manage PLC environments as well as using mechanical aptitude to solve all mechanical and electrical problems in the bottling facility
4) Assist mechanics with electrical problems
5) Install and terminate wiring for new equipment
6) Interface with vendors to maintain a support network
7) Provide daily support to the production team and warehouse to ensure efficient daily operational efficiencies are achieved.
8) Maintain backup programs of all PLC bottling line programs
9) Calibrate, test, maintain, and install all packaging instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment.
10) Train new PLC technicians
11) Maintain spare parts inventory
12) Use a maintenance reporting system to record the time and material used
13) Provide complete history of maintenance on equipment
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the beverage industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance
