Quality Assurance Scientist

Job Description

Our client, a leading canned food company, is currently seeking an ambitious Quality Assurance Scientist to help lead their team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated candidate with a go-getter attitude and a drive to succeed. Responsibilities include:

1) Manage the organic compliance program, project GMO, and Kosher Program at all facilities

2) Represent the company as the Organic Program Liaison

3) Partner with Plant QA Managers for all organic certification audits, and Project GMO reviews

4) Complete and execute all internal audits at all facility locations in compliance with the SQF

5) Be responsible for partnering with operations and Plant QA to develop and implement effective corrective actions at all facilities

6) Partner with Plant QA to complete the third-party audit

7) Manage corporate quality documents

8) Partner with R&D on the development and maintenance of all finished product specifications

9) Cooperate and maintain professional relationships with all levels within the company

10) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the canned food industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in quality assurance
