Senior Human Resource Generalist

Job Description

We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the baked goods industry. One of our clients wants to add a strong Senior Human Resource Generalist to their team. Responsibilities include:

1) Oversee recruitment and talent acquisition, including the job posting process

2) Oversee employee probationary reviews; completion of the reviews, tracking database

3) Respond to Human Resources inquiries from employees and Management

4) Assist employees and Management with Human Resources policies and their interpretation

5) Oversee new hire orientation packages and administer safety training

6) Oversee salary and hourly employees’ enrollment in ADP

7) Oversee payroll process

8) Oversee benefits monthly reconciliation and remittances

9) Oversee occupational health and safety policies and procedures

10) Research, develop, and maintain job descriptions based on occupational classifications

11) Assist with administration of non-work-related time off including pregnancy and parental leaves and employees off on EI sick benefits in conjunction with payroll and benefits

12) Assist in the preparation of disciplinary letters

13) Participate in investigations related to disciplines, workplace violence harassment

14) Participate in Joint Health & Safety committee meetings, follow up on recommendations

15) Research and recommend modifications to exist policies

16) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the baked goods industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in human resources management

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
