Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

One of our top clients is recruiting again! They are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for their facility. Interested job seekers should have work experience with a highly successful and well-established baked goods manufacturer. An overview of the Maintenance Mechanic’s responsibilities:

1) Troubleshoot pneumatic switches, valves, and cylinders

2) Diagnose and repair gearbox, bearing and conveyor systems problems

3) Set up, diagnose and repair high-speed wrapping machines in a time-conscious environment

4) Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all production equipment in the assigned area

5) Maintain open, accurate communication with other maintenance employees as well as production, QC and safety management

6) Complete all assigned work orders completely and accurately document

7) Provide all information necessary to maintain proper parts inventories

8) Work with production teams to identify process improvements wherever possible

9) Perform all work in a safe manner following all company's safety policies and procedures

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the baked goods industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance
