Head of Maintenance and Reliability Engineering

Job Description

A leading company in the dairy products industry is currently seeking a Head of Maintenance and Reliability Engineering to join their team. Key duties include:

1) Manage strategic development of maintenance objectives and KPIs

2) Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of engineering projects

3) Develop and manage a group of supervisors

4) Utilize continuous improvement strategies and remain well-informed of current and future technological developments

5) Provide leadership and coaching to a diverse team of trades

6) Develop sound relationships across the organization and with vendors

7) Ensure that an annual maintenance budget and plan are developed and followed and that cost targets are within budget

8) Provide expert advice and guidance regarding the repair and maintenance of all machines and equipment

9) Manage the processes and secure the resources to ensure the availability of the appropriate tools

10) Maintain a high standard of sanitation, housekeeping and cleanliness

11) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the dairy products industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance and reliability engineering
