IT Security Specialist

Job Description

Our client, a leading grocery company, is looking for an IT Security Specialist with solid IT experience. Specifically, we are seeking an individual who is able to handle the following responsibilities:

1) Monitor computer networks for security issues

2) Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs

3) Work with the Security Team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities

4) Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard

5) Stay current on IT security trends and news

6) Develop company-wide best practices for IT security

7) Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management

8) Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management

9) Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards

10) Assist in other IT-related responsibilities as requested and necessary

Critical Requirements

1) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

2) Recent experience in the grocery industry is strongly preferred

3) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in IT
