Job Description


We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the dairy products industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Quality Assurance Manager to their team. Responsibilities include:


1) Ensure the daily plant quality and food safety operations are in compliance with the company’s policies, procedures, customer requirements and local, state and federal regulations

2) Lead in the implementation of SQF, HACCP and FSMA programs

3) Drive continual quality improvement as measured by quality KPIs, including internal and external audits and company quality metrics

4) Supervise quality supervisor, laboratory technicians and manage daily activities to ensure associates adhere to company requirements while providing leadership, guidance and training

5) Serve as company liaison for all local, state, federal and third-party food safety, and quality audits, CCOF and kosher certifications and inspections

6) Support senior management and Operations team with technical quality and food safety expertise to investigate and troubleshoot any issues related to food safety and quality

7) Write and develop plant and laboratory SOPs

8) Manage and implement site CAPA programs and collaborate with operations leaders to support continuous improvement initiatives

9) Assist in investigating all customer and consumer complaints, manage investigation and ensure timely review and response to complaints

10) Manage hold and release program as well as product trace and recall programs

11) Manage departmental budget, including supplies, payroll and capital expenditures


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the dairy products industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in quality assurance management
