Job Description

We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the ingredients industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to their team. Responsibilities include:

1) Lead, direct, coach, counsel, demonstrate, teach, walk and talk the personal and operational safety accountability first culture

2) Participate as a member to the Safety Action Team and its sub-committees

3) Manage departmental and shift safety audit process with direct reports and co-workers

4) Create work orders to correct safety defects as a result of the audits and direct resources to correct safety defects and ensure follow-through on defect correction

5) Direct Electrical technicians to implement necessary repairs and changes as requested by Production managers

6) Develop daily working schedules and issue work orders for the same

7) Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner and correct to maintain a workable CMMS system

8) Understand and follow all aspects of the working contract between the company and UFCW Local 74D

9) Ensure the effort and quality of work of technicians

10) Implement and enforce work and safety policies and procedures

11) Instruct and monitor Operations personnel and contract workers when supplementing Maintenance personnel in the performance of scheduled work

12) Participate in weekly planning and scheduling meetings with the Operations Team to prioritize repairs, preventive maintenance and project work according to labor, equipment and operational availability and capability

13) Manage daily work of scheduled contractors, vendors and equipment delivery, as needed

14) Work with Production and Shift managers to schedule and minimize downtime for repairs

15) Ensure the minimum downtime and maximum performance of facility equipment

16) Develop and maintain preventive/predictive maintenance procedures in the CMMS

17) Ensure an acceptable completion rate for scheduled work

18) Support collection and maintenance of equipment information in CMMS, as assigned

19) Collect and enter hours worked into CMMS, as required

20) Approve or deny clocked overtime work for technicians

21) Approve or deny requested vacation days for technicians

22) Perform studies on serious maintenance issues and repetitive breakdowns utilizing the production and engineering expertise available

23) Develop technician’s daily working schedule

24) Issue work orders and required permits, as needed

25) Verify all work documentation is monitored for accuracy and that it is completed in a timely manner to maintain a workable CMMS system

26) Collect information for needed parts for repairs and projects

27) Recommend vendors for purchasing to gather quotes for needed parts, equipment and services

28) Request purchase of needed parts, equipment and services through purchasing

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the ingredients industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in electrical maintenance supervision
