Job Description
Our client, a leading meat company, is currently seeking an accomplished Production Supervisor to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:
1) Oversee production operations on assigned shift
2) Prepare work schedules to ensure efficient operations
3) Maintain knowledge of processes and equipment
4) Ensure that products are identified, weighed and warehoused correctly
5) Troubleshoot issues that arise
6) Notify the Maintenance Department of equipment problems
7) Ensure that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies and procedures
8) Ensure the paperwork is completed and signed correctly
9) Make sure that production schedules are attained
10) Make sure that labor standards are met
11) Perform other related duties as assigned
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the meat industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in production supervision
