Controls Engineer

Job Description

Our client, a leading confectionery company, is currently seeking an accomplished Controls Engineer to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:

1) Support production and maintenance to meet organizational metrics

2) Create production work documentation, such as change-over checklists, SOPs, and SOCs for new and existing products and processes

3) Assist in selection, design criteria, and validation of new equipment as necessary

4) Maintain and facilitate process improvement and workflow documentation

5) Lead a project while maintaining scope, cost and schedule criteria

6) Provide project management, scopes of work, cost estimates and timeline for implementation

7) Engineer, design, build and specify equipment systems to meet technical service needs for improved final product, productivity, or cost reductions

8) Provide structured planning that considers production requirements, staffing requirements, and safety aspects

9) Must possess in-depth working knowledge of all production machinery to develop and implement operational training manuals.

10) Troubleshoot, manipulate, and program PLCs

11) Be capable of Integrating multiple machines via ethernet communication

12) Troubleshoot equipment and systems under pressure and determine the root cause

13) Communicate and interact with various levels of personnel to accomplish goals and tasks

14) Adhere to FDA and GMP requirements for food manufacturing

15) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the confectionery industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in control engineering

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
