Job Description


Our client, a leading sauces company, is currently recruiting a Quality Director who will infuse the Quality Team with their talent, energy and leadership skills. 1) Establish, audit and revise company's quality, food safety and plant sanitation programs

2) Maintain effective document control

3) Perform annual audit for all quality and food safety programs for effectiveness and consistency throughout the organization

4) Revise programs and train the Plant Management Team on changes

5) Provide annual summary report of changes to senior management

6) Establish metrics and reporting systems to ensure the compliance to specifications, company policies and procedures

7) Maintain records and metrics for customer issues

8) Train facilities to consistently perform root cause analysis

9) Ensure the continuous improvement efforts are documented and evaluated

10) Conduct annual review of plant performance against customer specifications and formulation and report findings to the Senior Management

11) Develop and train the Internal Auditing Team

12) Develop and maintain internal auditing matrix

13) Maintain and audit accuracy and precision testing of plant laboratories

14) Audit various internal business units for compliance to company’s policies and procedures

15) Report finding to the Plant Management and Senior Management

16) Lead all non-GMP audits

17) Conduct 2 pre-audits and facility each year based on customer and third-party audit criteria

18) Meet with the Plant Management Team to review results in a timely manner and communicate plant performance and overall readiness to the Senior Management

19) Audit forward warehouses as necessary and maintain required emergency contact information and audit records

20) Provide annual training to team members

21) Conduct mock training sessions

22) Serve as the primary contact for any significant food safety and quality events

23) Communicate with customers and the Sales Team to support overall customer satisfaction

24) Ensure the performance of Plant Quality managers to meet company's expectations to drive effect results that support food and worker safety, quality, sanitation and efficiency

25) Travel as necessary to audit facilities and attend customer events

26) Communicate training requirements for quality, food safety and sanitation programs and procedures

27) Identify programs and procedures and training frequency

28) Review expectations with the Training Coordinator and Plant Management teams

29) Audit effectiveness annually and provide summary report to the Senior Management

30) Perform other duties as assigned

 

Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the sauces industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in quality management
