Job Description

We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the foodservice industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Buyer to their team. Responsibilities include:

1) Liaise between manufacturing operations and supplier partners

2) Analyze ERP requirements and issue purchase orders to meet the business needs

3) Monitor delivery reports and work directly with suppliers to resolve issues

4) Achieve cost savings through negotiations and contract implementation

5) Comply with company’s policies and procedures

6) Work with Engineering team members to review, approve and assist in the implementation of ECO’s

7) Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives

8) Manage supplier relationships and ensure that suppliers are delivering on key performance indicators

9) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

2) Recent experience in the foodservice industry is strongly preferred

3) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in purchasing
