Job Description

A brilliant opportunity exists for an outstanding individual capable of fitting into this very rewarding Quality Assurance Supervisor role. Our client, a leading baked goods company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you’re dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:

1) Review current systems and capability versus best in class systems and chart a path

2) Ensure best practices and policies related to GMPs are integrated with the Quality System, program and policies

3) Develop capabilities and understanding across functional teams where needed to execute the quality system

4) Align with leadership team to ensure common understanding and shared accountability

5) Stay current on regulatory and industry trends

6) Manage corrective action process and lead plans to drive resolution and continuous improvement

7) Monitor, support and enforce all food safety processes and procedures

8) Maintain the corrective and preventive action programs for troubleshooting production concerns and customer product issues

9) Lead and participate in implementation of new processes and practices

10) Manage and investigate customer complaints and reports out findings

11) Lead internal and external audit processes and ensure they adequately integrate with quality system

12) Build strong understanding and buy-in to various aspects of company’s quality and food safety systems

13) Implement quality control programs that effectively monitor product manufacturing

14) Manage team building and evaluate the skills and training needed of the hourly QA team members

15) Conduct verification and validation of food safety prerequisite programs

16) Provide oversight to document control and quality training

17) Perform other duties as may be assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the baked goods industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in quality assurance supervision

Compensation and Other Details

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
