Senior Compensation Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the grocery industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Senior Compensation Manager to their team. Responsibilities include:

1) Evolve and maintain the company pay scale and structure

2) Develop position-based compensation ranges across all business segments

3) Manage adherence to union base rates and wage progressions

4) Ensure equitable pay practices

5) Partner with Talent Management Team to determine starting wage rates for new hires and internal promotions

6) Manage to target payroll budget

7) Administers all semi-annual bonus and annual merit increase processes for all hourly and salary associates at all company’s locations

8) Partner with the Finance Team to develop compensation pools and overall allocations

9) Ensure adherence to set compensation budgets

10) Issue annual total compensation statements across the company

11) Oversee and ensure pay practice compliance with FLSA, payroll rules and tax laws

12) Manage the work opportunity tax credit program

13) Collaborate with third-party vendor to ensure compliance and maximum return

14) Serve as the top subject-matter expert on payroll rules and practices

15) Resolve day-to-day payroll questions and issues for team

16) Determine payroll approach in unique situations

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the grocery industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in human resources
