About us

At Family Centered Support Services, we provide a range of services to children, young people, and families, including respite care, in-home support, and residential out-of-home care. We believe children belong with their families whenever it is safe and possible, and we work closely with the Department of Child Safety and the families to address the root causes of challenging behaviours and support positive change.


The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Administration Assistant to support our Chief of Operations (COO). This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth coordination of strategic priorities, executive communications, and governance processes across our Out-of-Home Care services.

Our operational footprint spans South East Queensland, with regional offices located in North Brisbane, Logan, Toowoomba, and Stanthorpe. The office base for this role is negotiable.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the COO’s schedule, meetings, and correspondence
  • Prepare reports, board papers, and strategic submissions
  • Coordinate executive documentation and follow up on action items
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders with professionalism and discretion
  • Support project delivery, governance, and compliance reporting
  • Assist in preparing funding proposals and strategic presentations


What You’ll Bring

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience managing complex schedules and confidential information
  • High proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and professional judgment
  • Understanding of Out-of-Home Care or community services
  • Tertiary qualification in business administration or related field
  • Current Open Driver’s License and Working with Children Card eligibility


Desirable

  • Experience supporting C-suite or senior leaders
  • Knowledge of Queensland child protection frameworks or NDIS
