About the role:

Evoenergy has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Demand Forecasting Specialist to join its high-performing Network Planning section under the Asset Management Group.

The role applies a combination of statistical modelling techniques and third-party tools to develop demand forecasts across multiple network levels and time horizons, accounting for emerging demand drivers including electrification and consumer energy resource uptake.

Working collaboratively with teams across network planning, asset management, strategy, and regulatory functions, this role will develop forecasts that underpin key planning and investment decision-making activities including area planning and regulatory submissions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and continuously improve Evoenergy’s demand forecasting methodologies to support network planning and investment decisions.
  • Develop and maintain electricity demand forecasts across multiple planning horizons and network levels.
  • Develop and assess Customer Energy Resources (CER) forecasts, including impacts of electrification, gas-to-electric conversion and emerging large loads.
  • Manage external forecasting tools, data sources and specialist providers to meet planning and methodological requirements.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide expert advice through internal engagement and regulatory reporting on demand drivers and future scenarios.
  • Other duties within the position holder’s skill, competence and training as directed.

  • Proven ability to develop and apply analytical models using statistical tools.
  • Clear communicator who translates insights from models into impactful decision support; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Data Science.
