As a Project Development Officer, you’ll play a key role in transforming electrical infrastructure concepts and customer requests into fully scoped, execution-ready projects supporting Project Development Managers through every stage of the development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
- Support Project Development: Provide end-to-end assistance to Project Development Managers throughout the development phase, ensuring alignment with organisational practices and compliance with commercial, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams (planning, environment, commercial) and external stakeholders to define project goals, gather requirements, and maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Coordination & Delivery: Manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery, while maintaining high-quality standards and documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and financials during the development phase.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing process enhancements through post-project evaluations, and demonstrate behaviours aligned with Evoenergy’s values and professional standards.

Our ideal candidate:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or other relevant discipline relevant to the energy utility industry (or a trade certificate supported by significant years diverse experience in electricity distribution).
- Project management certification e.g. PMP, CAPM, PRINCE 2 (Desirable).
- An understanding of development and or delivery activities required for distribution, transmission line or substation projects in the construction or energy utility industry, including technical, environmental, safety, regulatory, and commercial.
- Project development or management knowledge and experience in a utilities environment, ideally including contractor oversight, commercial administration, health and safety and environment policies and safe work practices.
- You take active steps to ensure the safety of your colleagues and our community, championing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment.
