Evoenergy have a rare opportunity for a Trades Assistant to support our qualified technicians out in the field to maintain our electricity distribution network.

Our trade staff enjoy a 9-day fortnight and receive competitive remuneration plus allowances and overtime. The incumbent may also be expected to participate in the on-call roster.

As the Trades Assistant, you will be looking after:

Here at Evoenergy, we are looking for a motivated and keen Trade Assistant to work collaboratively with our qualified technicians out in the field across various work sites. In this role, you will assist in undertaking construction and maintenance work activities on Evoenergy’s electrical network.

If you are a dependable self-starter who can work safely within a small team and deliver outcomes for our customers then we want to hear from you!

Some key work that would be possible with this role includes:

  • Carry out works in a timely and safe manner, and to highest quality standards, while minimizing customer impact.
  • Work closely with and assist our technicians carrying out works on our electricity network in a timely manner.
  • Provide information and communicate effectively with team members and our customers.
  • Contribute to the development of work/safety instructions as required.
  • Operate tools, plant and equipment in a safe manner
  • Assist in the identification of workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments and perform work within a safe work practices and procedures.

 What will I need to be successful?

  • Experience in working in the electrical industry preferred, but not essential
  • Proven experience working safely in an industrial environment
  • Experience operating and maintaining tools and equipment
  • OH&S General Induction Card
  • Asbestos Awareness Training
  • Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention
  • ACT Driver’s Licence or equivalent (preferably heavy vehicle)
