 Evoenergy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Standards & Specifications Engineer to join our team.

 About the role:

This role is positioned within Evoenergy Standards and Specifications and is responsible for providing technical leadership in the development and maintenance of contemporary standards for design, construction, connection, and interaction with the Evoenergy distribution and sub transmission networks.

In this role, you are expected to advance your relevant skills/capabilities by rapidly being involved in challenging tasks where you will demonstrate your understanding of the newly presented information and your relevant practical skills. The ability to listen, consult and communicate clearly with the relevant stakeholder is essential to meeting the role’s expectations.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead in developing and maintaining network asset material technical specifications that relate to technical designs across the distribution and transmission network (including construction design and drawing, materials standards, material-based Unit Assemblies, and estimations).
  • Provide informed technical decisions to Evoenergy on issues relating to technical issues of relevance to the business’s specifications, Standards and drawings.
  • The development and maintenance of technical specifications and the evaluation of tenders.
  • The implementation of new products, assets and technologies within the business.

 About you:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or similar qualification (Essential)
  • Post graduate qualifications in electrical engineering and or Management (Desirable)
  • Eligible for registration under the ACT Professional Engineers Registration Scheme (Expected late 2024)
  • Demonstrated an understanding of construction, operations and maintenance of electricity distribution, transmission and zone substation networks and their associated systems and components
  • Demonstrate a practical experience in the electricity distribution industry, preferably in:
  • HV electricity network and its associated primary assets 
  • LV electricity network and its associated assets
  • Secondary systems and equipment
  • Earthing Calculations, Design and Construction
  • Demonstrated an understanding of construction, operations and maintenance of electricity distribution, transmission and zone substation networks and their associated systems and components (Essential)
  • Drawing management and drafting skills (Desirable)
