Evoenergy is seeking an experienced Senior Level Leader to provide strategic oversight and optimisation of Network Delivery’s annual distribution and transmission capital and maintenance programs.
Reporting to the Group Manager Network Delivery, this senior role works closely with Network Delivery’s Senior Works Delivery Managers, Works Enablement, System Operations and other key stakeholders to plan, de‑risk, accept and monitor a complex portfolio of works, ensuring safe, reliable and cost‑effective delivery for our customers and the Canberra community.
You will have end‑to‑end accountability for program‑level performance, supporting the development of annual works programs and operational delivery plans and monitoring progress throughout the year. This includes identifying risks, constraints and variances and implementing strategies to address and calibrating programs in response to reactive work and changing demand. The role also entails implementing strategies aimed at improving the accuracy of cost, schedule and resource forecasts to ensure full works program delivery.
A key focus of the role is driving operational excellence and productivity improvement across Network Delivery. You will lead portfolio‑level workforce and resource planning, address capability and resourcing constraints, and implement best‑practice processes, technologies and delivery models. You will also develop business cases for innovation and improvement initiatives and support business planning and informed decision‑making.
To succeed, you will bring strong experience in the energy, electrical or utilities sector, a collaborative and strategic mindset, and a clear commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Our ideal candidate:
- You lead with safety and take active steps to ensure the safety of your colleagues and our community, championing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction, Business/Commerce or tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction or Business and relevant electrical experience.
- Electrical Trade (desired)
- Demonstrated experience in a similar/professional role within the Energy / Electrical and/or Utilities industries.
- Demonstrated experience in change management and business efficiency initiatives
- Demonstrated understanding of distribution and transmission overhead and underground works delivery, vegetation management and secondary systems delivery (desired)
