Evoenergy is looking for an experienced Communications and Engagement Advisor to help strengthen our brand, build trust and support meaningful stakeholder relationships. In this role, you’ll translate complex operational and regulatory information into clear, engaging and customer focused communications that support our strategic objectives and community expectations.

Working closely with our leadership team, subject matter experts and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, you’ll play a critical part in shaping how Evoenergy communicates, engages and listens. This is a dynamic role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises strong professional judgement and enjoys a mix of strategic and tactical work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communications and engagement strategies, plans and campaigns to support internal and external initiatives.
  • Deliver day-to-day communications across media, social media, website/intranet, publications, reports and Ministerial enquiries.
  • Support the planning, materials development, delivery and reporting of customer engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with teams across Evoenergy to deliver clear, consistent and integrated communication and engagement advice.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with community groups and external stakeholders to listen, gather insights and inform continuous improvement in engagement strategies.
  • Provide strategic advice during issues and crisis situations, supporting the Incident Management Team.
  • Participate in the Communications and Engagement on-call roster as required.

Our ideal candidate will have

  • Tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in strategic communications, media or marketing.
  • Experience in issues and crisis management, strategic planning and communications evaluation.
  • Demonstrated capability in professional writing, project management of traditional and digital communication channel management.
  • Strong media, stakeholder and government relations experience.
  • (Desirable) Understanding or experience in the energy sector.
  • (Desirable) Understanding or experience of the energy transition and its complexity for communications and engagement
