This is a pivotal leadership role that will influence how assets are managed, ensuring decisions are data-driven, risk-informed, and aligned with long-term value creation.

About the Role

As Manager Asset Lifecycle, you’ll lead a team of high performing asset engineers and maintenance specialists responsible for the health, performance and optimisation of Evoenergy’s electricity network assets. You’ll drive the development of long-term asset strategies, modernise lifecycle frameworks, and ensure that every investment and maintenance decision creates enduring value for our customers and community.

You’ll collaborate across network planning, delivery, and regulatory teams to bring evidence-based insights and commercial rigour to the way our network’s assets are managed - shaping how we balance cost, risk, reliability and sustainability in an era of rapid energy transformation, innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of asset class plans, maintenance frameworks and replacement forecasts. Champion a data driven, risk-based approach to asset decision making across the full lifecycle.
  • Build, inspire and mentor a capable and future focused technical team. Govern asset management frameworks including risk, health, and criticality models.
  • Provide technical oversight and engineering support for operational asset management and failure investigations. Monitor asset performance and ensure alignment with service, cost, and risk objectives.
  • Partner across functions to ensure alignment between planning, delivery, regulatory and commercial outcomes.
  • Develop compelling business cases and contribute to major regulatory submissions.

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • ACT Professional Engineering Registration (or ability to obtain).
  • Deep knowledge of electricity network asset management practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • Expertise in engineering analysis, risk modelling, and investment planning.
  • Proven ability to translate asset condition data into actionable strategies.
  • Experience with regulatory frameworks and investment justification.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM).
  • Understanding of ISO55000 and ISO31000 standards.
  • Ability to translate technical insights into strategic advice for stakeholders.

Skills & Attributes

  • Decisive and strategic thinker.
  • Strong analytical and leadership capabilities.
  • High integrity and collaborative mindset.
  • Effective communicator and influencer.
