About the role:

Evoenergy has an exciting opportunity for an Asset Intelligence Engineer to join its high-performing Asset Lifecycle section under Asset Management Group, comprising asset strategy, maintenance, and asset reliability engineers. The role brings together engineering and analytics to drive capability uplifts including strengthening asset data quality, develop data-driven insights and scenario-based asset replacement forecasting, and support proactive, evidence-based lifecycle planning, regulatory submissions, and strategic network risk management. Working collaboratively with our data analytics and IT team, this role will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining analytical frameworks, data models and pipelines - such as asset health dashboards and deterioration models - to deliver visibility of emerging risks and intervention priorities using emerging technologies including AI.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain asset data models, pipelines and analytics, including condition, performance and operational data, to support forecasting, planning and decision‑making.
  • Build and apply scenario‑based asset replacement and deterioration models, including digital‑twin capabilities, to inform lifecycle investment, risk management and regulatory submissions.
  • Deliver actionable insights through dashboards, reporting and analysis, enabling engineers, field teams and planners to prioritise maintenance and investment based on emerging risks and trends.
  • Embed strong data governance, quality and asset data standards, collaborate across engineering and digital teams, and champion continuous, data‑driven improvement aligned to organisational values.
  • Other duties within the employee's skill, competence and training.

Please see the attached job description for the full list of the role's responsibilities.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor qualification in engineering (electrical preferred)

  • Strong change management and continuous improvement skills
  • Secondary systems experience
