The Urban and Residential Development team oversees the construction and delivery of field works across the Evoenergy Customer delivery portfolio, working closely with designers, project managers, contractors and customers.

The Program Delivery Lead is responsible for coordinating and delivering construction works on time and within budget, including planning, scoping, and liaising with customers and approval authorities.

They also proactively resolve delivery issues, manage staff utilisation and wellbeing, and support the Delivery Manager with clear reporting on project progress and workforce movements.


Key responsibilities: 

  • Project & Operational Coordination. Oversee day‑to‑day site requirements including staff, fleet, materials, third parties, and outages to deliver projects on time, on budget, and safely. Contribute 50% of time to field work.
  • Leadership & People Management. Lead and develop staff, manage performance, training, leave, resource planning, and communication (e.g., toolbox talks). Support the delivery manager with performance and grievance processes.
  • Planning, Reporting & Financial Oversight. Forward plan daily/weekly works, report transparently on project progress, monitor financial/time performance, identify variances, and forecast expenditure and resource needs.
  • Process, Standards & Continuous Improvement. Develop and refine operational methods and standards, source information independently for complex issues, and drive improvements in delivery efficiency, HSEQ, and technical performance.
  • Systems, Compliance & Administration. Maintain scheduling platforms, approve purchase orders, ensure fleet and equipment compliance, use required IT systems, participate in on‑call duties, and perform other tasks within competency.
  • Other duties within the employee's skill, competence and training.

Our ideal candidate: 

  • You take active steps to ensure the safety of your colleagues and our community, championing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
  • Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems Distribution Overhead, or Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems Cable Jointing, Certificate III in Electro-technology, Craft Certificate or equivalent. 
  • ACT Driver’s Licence or equivalent.
  • ACT Construction Occupation Licence – Electrical (Unrestricted) - preferred though not essential.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in managing contractors performance and compliance
  • Proven experience in effective customer interaction
  • Sound knowledge & experience in project management practice and site management or willingness to obtain in a reasonable time.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead individuals and teams in technical areas.
