Evoenergy is seeking an experienced and motivated leader to drive excellence and safety in the development and implementation of operational frameworks that support safe, high-quality electrical work across the network. 

This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with the ActewAGL Joint Venture WHSEQ policy, Evoenergy’s Electricity Network Safety Management System, and Asset Management System. You’ll lead a team responsible for embedding the Electrical Safety Rules, Verification of Competency Framework, and assurance processes that reflect industry best practice. 

As Team Lead Works Practices, you’ll provide direction and mentorship to a dedicated team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. You’ll work closely with teams across Evoenergy and Corporate Services to ensure electrical work practices are understood, consistently applied, and aligned with safety and quality outcomes. This is a role that combines leadership, governance, and collaboration to shape how electrical work is delivered across the organisation. 


Key responsibilities 

  • Lead the development, governance, and continuous improvement of Electrical Works Practices across Evoenergy.  
  • Oversee accreditation, authorisation, and assurance frameworks to ensure compliance with safety rules and legal obligations.  
  • Drive performance standards through measurable criteria, audits, and reviews to enhance safety and quality outcomes.  
  • Provide strategic leadership and coaching to build a high-performing, capable team.  
  • Represent Evoenergy in industry forums to foster collaboration and share best practices.  
  • Monitor industry trends and contribute expertise to internal teams to support learning and operational excellence.

Our ideal candidate: 

  • Higher education / qualifications in engineering, management or law (minimum diploma level) 
  • Hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or ability to obtain).  
  • Extensive experience developing and implementing work practice improvements, including instructions, training, and documentation.  
  • Proven leadership in electricity network operations, with experience managing teams across field and office environments.  
  • Strong background in assurance programs such as audits, investigations, and competency frameworks within the electricity industry.  
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical content into clear, practical guidance.
