Evoenergy is seeking an experienced, confident and collaborative Regulatory Compliance Team Leader to play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation meets its regulatory, technical and safety obligations across both electricity and gas networks.
This senior role sits within our Asset Management Group and works closely with regulators, external auditors and internal stakeholders to embed a strong culture of regulatory and technical compliance. You will provide expert leadership, insight and assurance to support Evoenergy’s Asset Management System, Electricity Network Safety Management System, and operating licence obligations.
About the role
In this role, you will:
- Lead Evoenergy’s regulatory and technical compliance framework across electricity and gas networks
- Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with regulators, auditors and key internal stakeholders
- Monitor regulatory and legislative changes, assess impacts and provide timely, practical advice to the business
- Oversee compliance risk management, including control assessments and proactive breach prevention
- Ensure the ongoing effectiveness and compliance of Evoenergy’s Asset Management System and Electricity Network Safety Management System
- Manage audit programs, regulatory investigations and statutory reporting obligations
- Represent Evoenergy in regulatory forums, governance committees and external reviews
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as commerce, business, finance, law or similar
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, risk, auditing or assurance
- Strong experience working with energy regulators (including AER and jurisdictional technical regulators)
- Proven experience managing regulatory reviews, audits and reporting obligations
- Ability to assess and manage compliance risk and evaluate the effectiveness of controls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and recommendations
