About the Role

Join us as a Senior UI Designer and help shape intuitive, high-quality digital experiences for users across the globe.

At BGT, you’ll play a key role in designing user-friendly interfaces and seamless experiences for custom applications built on the Esri ArcGIS platform, as well as extending and improving our existing SaaS products. Working closely with our development and service delivery teams, you’ll take designs from concept to production—creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and final UI designs.

This is not a graphic designer role. The Senior UI Designer will be creating production-ready designs focused on usability and performance for business applications. You’ll help deliver smart, purpose-driven solutions that meet real user needs, and contribute to the direction of a growing and collaborative team.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Work with product managers and business analysts to translate requirements into digital designs.
• Work with Product Management to define and maintain the visual identity and brand of our products, ensuring consistency across all interfaces by following established style guides and design systems.
• Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes for new screen layouts as well as redesigning existing layouts.
• Create interactive prototypes to allow demonstration and validation of designs with our customers.
• Create production UI designs for sign-off by the customer and as input to our development process.
• Work with our Software Development Team to ensure successful handover of designs for development and respond to questions.

About You

We’re seeking a Senior UI Designer who is passionate about designing innovative, user-focused digital experiences. You’ll play a key role in transforming complex workflows into intuitive interfaces, contributing to both custom geospatial applications and our growing suite of SaaS products.

Key skills and experience include:

• Formal tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a UI design role, ideally with experience bringing new products to life.
• 3+ years of hands-on Figma experience (design, prototyping, and collaboration)
• Strong skills in wireframing, prototyping.
• Proficiency in creating production ready user interface designs.
• Experience making or using established design systems.
• Experience creating designs for responsive applications.
• Understanding of designing for core web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Excellent communication, presentation and consultative skills.
• A flexible, proactive attitude with a strong sense of accountability.
• Full time permanent working rights in Malaysia.
