About the Role 

Join our Finance team as a Financial Analyst on a six-month daily rate contract and help deliver analysis that supports business improvement projects and informed decision-making. You will work across a range of finance initiatives, bringing together financial, operational and transactional data to identify insights, investigate issues and support positive business outcomes. 

This is an opportunity to work on meaningful projects, contribute to process improvements and collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Technology and the broader business. 

• Analyse financial data and transactions to perform financial and operational reconciliations and provide analysis of revenue, cost, and balance sheet movements.  
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities 
• Develop models, templates and supporting schedules to assist planning and reporting. 
• Conduct variance, trend, scenario and reasonableness analysis. 
• Support Finance process reviews, including Procure-to-Pay and Workday Finance activities. 
• Investigate exceptions, identify trends and provide evidence-based recommendations. 
• Perform financial and operational reconciliations and analyse revenue, costs, expenses and balance sheet movements. 
• Analyse ERP and financial system data to support projects, including migration and system improvement activities. 
• Prepare clear documentation, workpapers and analysis that supports effective decision-making. 
• Partner with project owners and stakeholders to deliver agreed outcomes within scope and timeframes. 

About You 

You're a curious and adaptable finance professional who enjoys solving problems, working with data and making complex information easier to understand. You bring strong analytical skills, a collaborative approach and the ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. 

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline. 
• CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent qualification, or progress toward qualification, would be advantageous. 
• Transaction-level finance exposure and experience preparing reconciliations.  
• Experience in financial analysis, management accounting, and the preparation or support of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting activities.
• Strong accounting knowledge and financial analysis capability. 
• Experience preparing reconciliations and working with transaction-level financial data. 
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets. 
• Experience extracting and analysing information from an ERP or financial-management system. 
• Workday Finance, ERP migration or Finance process-analysis experience would be advantageous. 
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. 
• A cleared police check is required prior to commencement of the role. 
• You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.
