We turn problems into opportunities, and that takes two things:

  • The most powerful GIS technology and solutions.
  • Driven, talented, and passionately curious people.

Here we connect them, and that’s how we achieve incredible things for communities, economies, and for your career.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Web Content and SEO Senior Specialist to help create better, smarter and more effective website experiences. This role is perfect for someone who brings together strong UX/UI thinking, deep understanding of web content best practice, and hands-on experience in SEO/GEO optimisation to improve how content performs online.

Reporting to the Digital and Operations team, you will work very closely with the Integrated Communications team to shape and optimise content for the web. You’ll help ensure content is not only well written and on brand, but also structured for usability, discoverability and engagement. From improving page layouts and user journeys to applying SEO, GEO and content design best practices, you’ll play a key role in making our digital experiences more intuitive, visible and effective.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across content, digital and stakeholder teams to lift the quality of web experiences and influence how content is created for a modern digital environment.

Web content optimisation and search performance

  • Optimise website content using best practice in SEO, GEO and content design to improve discoverability, engagement and conversion.
  • Review and uplift page structure, headings, metadata, internal linking and on-page copy to support search intent and user needs.
  • Partner with the Integrated Communications team to adapt and refine content so it performs effectively in a web environment.
  • Identify content improvement opportunities through analytics, search insights and performance data.
  • Help establish and maintain web content standards, templates and optimisation guidelines.

UX/UI and website experience

  • Apply UX/UI and usability best practices to improve page layouts, navigation, readability and overall user experience.
  • Make recommendations to improve user journeys, page effectiveness and conversion pathways across the website.
  • Support the creation of web experiences that are accessible, intuitive, on brand and aligned with audience expectations.
  • Review existing pages and new web content to ensure they meet digital best practice for both experience and performance.
  • Work with digital and technical stakeholders to help translate business and user needs into effective web outcomes.

About You

You are a detail-oriented, digitally minded content professional with a passion for creating clear, effective, and high-performing web experiences. You combine strong writing capability with a practical understanding of UX, SEO, and digital marketing, enabling you to create content that performs for both users and the business.

What we need from you:

  • 5+ years in web content, UX writing, digital copywriting, content design, or website optimisation (B2B/tech/agency experience is a bonus).
  • A qualification in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, or a related field.
  • Experience writing website copy, landing pages, CTAs, forms, navigation labels, and microcopy.
  • Good understanding of UX principles, usability, and how to structure content for the web.
  • Hands-on experience using CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Contentful, AEM, Sanity, etc.).
  • Solid SEO/GEO knowledge and experience with on-page optimisation.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices for digital content.
  • Experience using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, Search Console) to guide improvements.
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Bonus: experience with component-based websites, design systems, or structured content models.
  • You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.
  • Attitude and behaviour align with Esri Australia’s core values.
