About the Role  

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring Esri Australia’s financial performance is accurately represented each month. You’ll take ownership of delivering timely, high‑quality management reports and will be the trusted guardian of our financial data. 

In this role, you’ll review, analyse, and reconcile financial information to maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and legislative requirements. Your work will directly support the business in making confident, informed decisions. 

Here’s what a typical day could look like: 

• Ensure timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly and annual reports. 
• Prepare monthly Flash report and Management Report for group consolidation. 
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the financial reports, general and subsidiary ledgers. 
• Prepare and supervise completion of all month end journals. 
• Prepare and supervise completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations. 
• Review preparation of daily bank reconciliations and weekly cash report. 
• Review the day-to-day operational accounting activities. 
• Review vendor payments and any ad hoc payment run. 
• Preparation of the monthly BAS, FBT and Income Tax Return. 

About You 

We’re looking for a technically strong Senior Accountant who can confidently own the month‑end process, maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance, and support decision‑making through reliable reporting. You’ll bring a proactive mindset and a desire to keep improving processes as we grow. 

To be successful you will need to bring along:   

• Formal tertiary qualifications in accounting. 
• CPA/CA qualified. 
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an accounting role with a focus on reporting responsibilities. 
• High level of competence in using financial management systems (e.g.Workday) and Excel. 
• Comfortable owning processes independently and making recommendations. 
• Detail‑oriented and proactive. 
• Able to troubleshoot issues and improve processes, with a strong problem‑solving mindset. 
• Organised, reliable, and able to meet deadlines. 
• You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia. 
• A cleared police check is required prior to commencement.
