You don’t need to be a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) expert to make an impact here - just curiosity and a desire to work on the challenges shaping Australia’s future.

From climate change and disaster response to national security and critical infrastructure, geospatial technology helps organisations understand what’s happening, where it’s happening, and why it matters.

At Esri Australia, you’ll work alongside people leading this change, connecting them with world‑class technology and gaining insight into real‑world challenges across government, industry, and communities.

We create impact by bringing together powerful geospatial technology and smart, curious people - strengthening Australia’s future and building careers with real momentum.

About the role

Create experiences that inspire, connect and make an impact.

At Esri Australia, our events bring people, ideas, and technology together to shape better decisions for a better future. We’re looking for an experienced Event Marketing Manager to lead the delivery of high‑quality in‑person and virtual events across Australia - events that educate, inspire, and leave a lasting impression.

This is a hands‑on, highly collaborative role where you’ll turn strategy into standout experiences. You’ll shape compelling event narratives, support subject matter experts to deliver with confidence, and ensure every event is seamless, on‑brand, and engaging from start to finish.

What you’ll be known for

  • Delivering exceptional end-to-end events of in‑person and virtual field marketing events.
  • Creating compelling content experiences, curating and managing high‑value event content, working closely with marketing teams, Australian SMEs, and global Esri teams.
  • Enabling confident presenters to ensure consistent, high‑quality, brand‑aligned delivery across events, webinars, and podcasts.
  • Owning event production and coordinate event logistics including owned events, exhibitions, roadshows, and event travel.
  • Producing engaging virtual events, partnering with Integrated Communications and Digital teams to deliver dynamic virtual events that drive audience engagement and amplify reach.
  • Maximising impact beyond the event, identifying opportunities to reuse and repurpose content, contribute to post‑event insights and amplify event outcomes across channels.

About You

You are a confident, dynamic Event Marketing Manager who thrives on creating standout experiences - whether that’s a flagship in‑person event or a highly engaging virtual program. You love the detail, the pressure and the buzz of bringing people together, and you are motivated by delivering events that reflect the strength and credibility of a market‑leading brand.

You are equally comfortable shaping content with Subject Matter Experts as you are managing timelines, suppliers, and logistics - and you take pride in delivering events that feel polished, purposeful, and memorable.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven event expertise delivering both large‑ and small‑scale corporate events, across in‑person and virtual formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage event content end to end, working closely with Subject Matter Experts to translate technical material into engaging, on‑brand presentations.
  • A solid understanding of event planning and execution, including speaker coordination, agenda development, invitee lists, logistics, and timelines.
  • The ability to juggle multiple events simultaneously, stay calm under pressure, and consistently deliver outstanding results to tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills enabling you to work with internal stakeholders, vendors, suppliers, speakers, and entertainers to achieve the best outcomes and build strong working relationships.
  • A bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in the software or technology sector will be highly regarded but is not essential.
  • Permanent, full‑time working rights in Australia.
  • Attitude and behaviours that align with Esri Australia’s core values, with a genuine passion for excellence, collaboration, and long‑term relationships.
