More than 2.7 million people across New South Wales rely on us every day for the supply of safe and reliable power to their homes and businesses. We employ more than 1,700 people across our catchment, making us one of the largest employers in Sydney’s Greater West.

We need talented people who care about one another and the work they do. Why? Because we’re one of Australia's fastest growing networks, connecting 20,000 new customers each year, including the Western Sydney Aerotropolis. And when we power together, we go further, faster; towards a smarter, more sustainable future for us all.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Treasurer to play a pivotal role in the transformation of Endeavour Energy’s treasury function, helping us build a smarter, more resilient grid for the future.

This is a dynamic and commercially focused position that supports the Treasurer in overseeing key treasury operations including capital planning, funding, liquidity management, risk mitigation strategy and hedging. You’ll work closely with executives and financial partners to help shape long-term financial strategy, optimise cash flow, and ensure we continue to operate at the highest standards of financial integrity and performance.

From managing complex loan and capital market transactions to developing and executing hedging programs, and integrating automation and AI into treasury workflows, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation while helping us reduce costs, manage risk, and support sustainable growth.

Key accountabilities

  • Provide strategic advice to the Treasurer across all treasury activities including capital planning, funding, liquidity management, hedging, and reporting.
  • Deliver expert advice and execution of loan facilities and debt capital market transactions.
  • Lead initiatives to digitalise and automate treasury workflows, working closely with senior leaders across the organisation.
  • Maintain and enhance treasury systems and forecasting tools to optimise liquidity and improve cash flow accuracy.
  • Monitor financial markets to inform strategies that reduce capital costs and manage volatility.
  • Support executive and board-level reporting on treasury performance, risk, and market conditions.
  • Manage key external relationships with banks, investors, credit rating agencies, capital market arrangers, and advisors.

About you

You are a commercially minded treasury professional with exceptional analytical capability, strong market knowledge, and a strategic mindset. You thrive in fast-paced environments, bring innovation to complex problems, and enjoy collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, or Economics
  • Eligible for membership with the Australian Corporate Treasury Association.

  • Sound understanding of financial instruments, capital markets, investment strategy, and cash management.
  • Commercially savvy with a continuous improvement mindset.
