About the role

As the Fleet Engineering Operations Manager you will work with a capable and motivated team to provide safe, sustainable and customer focused fleet related services and compliant end to end strategies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and support the Fleet Engineering team, including mentoring, priority planning, and staff development.
  • Establish and maintain fit-for-purpose, safe, cost-effective, and compliant fleet standards.
  • Develop and manage Capex budget plans, monitor performance, and provide analysis and reporting.
  • Oversee project management, design, and engineering activities, ensuring compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL).
  • Establish supplier arrangements and oversee vehicle and plant procurement, as well as disposal and replacement processes.
  • Maintain effective procedures, reporting models, and performance monitoring of external providers.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and support the delivery of the overall fleet plan within budget.

Required Qualifications, Certifications and Licences

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, e.g. Mechanical or Business Diploma.

Licences/Tickets

  • C Vehicle licence up to 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass (GVM)

Skills and Experience

  • Specialised Professional with demonstrated experience in a similar/professional role withing the Energy/Electrical/Transport/Utilities/Manufacturing Industry.
  • Desirable - knowledge of SAP, required in the reporting of critical fleet data, including budget planning.
