About the role
Our Transmission Section at Glendenning currently has an opportunity for a qualified and experienced tradesperson to join their Team.
As the Cable Jointer Transmission your responsibilities will include:
- Involvement in all facets of Transmission underground construction and maintenance activities
- Carry out emergency restoration work.
- Attend to after-hours fault & emergency response work when required.
- Travel within and outside of franchise area to carry out any specific projects as required.

About you
To be successful:
Essential criteria
- Certificate of competency as a Distribution Power Line Worker
- Sound knowledge of the construction and maintenance practices for Transmission and Distribution underground network
- Experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of underground cables up to and including 33/66kV
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Personal commitment to working safely and good knowledge of OH&S policies and procedures covering field operations
Desirable Criteria
- Current HR driver’s licence
- WorkCover Certificates C2, DG, Forklift & EWP
- Traffic Control Certificates
- Experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of 132kV Underground Cables
- Exposure to oil filled cables and gas insulated switchgear
Note: Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo a practical assessment.
