About the Role
As the Integration Engineer – Secondary Systems, you’ll lead the holistic design, implementation and testing of secondary systems within high-voltage environments. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you’ll ensure seamless integration between protection systems, SCADA platforms and primary electrical assets to improve network reliability, performance and operational efficiency.
You’ll also contribute to the digitisation of substation assets and help drive the adoption of emerging technologies and modern engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and integrate advanced protection and control systems for HV networks
- Develop secondary systems standards, templates and testing procedures
- Support the digitisation and modernisation of substation assets
- Deliver robust SCADA and protection system integration solutions
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures for operational technologies
- Provide expert technical advice for concept and technical design briefs
- Collaborate closely with Design, Operations, Technology and Field teams
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and best practice
- Identify and implement innovative technologies to improve network performance and reliability
About You
You’re a collaborative and forward-thinking engineering professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and driving continuous improvement.
You will bring:
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or registration as a Professional Engineer in NSW (Electrical)
- Current C Class Driver Licence
- General Construction Induction (White/Green Card)
Experience & Skills
- Significant experience within utilities, electrical infrastructure or energy industries
- Strong knowledge of protection systems, SCADA and secondary systems integration
- Experience in testing and commissioning of protection and control systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to simplify complex engineering challenges into practical solutions
- Passion for innovation, systems thinking and continuous improvement
